Lucy Rollins loved her daddy, but he was an awful practical joker. So when he told her about the critter he almost stepped on one night down by the creek, she just rolled her eyes. “Sure, Daddy,” she said. “Whatever you say, Daddy.”
But then came the night when she heard all the barking and growling and snapping, a regular holy commotion out in the back yard, and she went outside to calm the old hound down…
